In the summer of 2004, WIE sent its staff to Barcelona, Spain, to cover the Parliament of the World's Religions. Over the course of the event, WIE editors hosted "salons," intimate gatherings where the collective conversation could delved more deeply into the issues at hand. On occasion, the conversation turned autobiographical, as participants spoke about their own search for, and discovery of, a greater truth in life. This week, WIE Unbound is pleased to present Michael Bernard Beckwith, recognized international humanitarian activist and founder and spiritual director of the Agape International Spiritual Center, as he recounts his own awakening to a higher power and purpose. He is joined by Rikke Byars-Beckwith, his wife and director of Agape International Choir.
